How the campus wallet works
ScrantonCoin is a closed-loop campus utility — class login, role unlock, campus allowance, QR pay / classmate send, and a visible trail. Custody stays on the server so students never manage seed phrases on the happy path.
1. Unlock your role
Guests try a Sample desk; enrolled students use class login. Choose Student, Business, Professor / Faculty, Club, or Department. Native “Unlock” is Screen A for gate entry; Sample desks are Screen B with the shared Student skin.
- Student — Pay / Notes / Earn · starts SAMPLE 42 SCR
- Business — Merchant POS · Accept / Offers / QR / Who paid · SAMPLE 180 SCR on hand
- Professor — audit queue & workshop rewards · SAMPLE campus pool 1000 SCR (no spend key)
- Club — dues collection · SAMPLE 40 SCR on hand
- Department — liquidity rebalancing & Student Incentive Grant allocations
2. Request campus allowance
Students request practice SCR for the campus loop. We say request campus allowance — not “faucet” — because this is a closed educational economy, not a public crypto faucet.
3. Pay with QR / classmate send
Redeem merchant offers, send to classmates, or accept as Business / Club and review Who paid. Professors and Departments observe and allocate; they do not hold a student spend key.
4. See the trail
Wallet history stays on the phone WebView. Optional classroom Decision Lab exercises deepen the teaching case without turning the homepage into a lab catalog.
Why custody stays on the server
Campus learners should open a phone wallet the way they open any class tool — not by writing down a seed phrase or installing MetaMask. Server-side custody (zero-custody from the student’s perspective) keeps the happy path simple: class login → role → allowance → pay → trail.
